1Why should I raft with CitraElo?
Established in 1995, PT. CITRA ELO RIVERINDO or well-known as CitraElo is pioneered in the whitewater rafting trip business in Central Java and licensed in the business. “Safety is First and Foremost” is CitraElo’s key guide in every trip to maintain its “Zero-Accident Record”. CitraElo serves rafting trips in various levels of difficulty from the beginner class to the higher level of adventurers,thus the safety of all rafting participantsis CitraElo’s first priority concern. CitraElo is supported by a professional team of 10-years-experience who love what they do to their customers. CitraElo treats its customers like a family, thus the warmth and hospitality yet professional service is all we have to offer.
2Can i book a group tour, is there a discount?
Yes, you can book a group tour and based on the number of guests, a discount can be offered at the time of booking. Please call our store to make your booking on +6293 788 435.

1What is included in the trip?

2Is it safe?
“Safety is First and Foremost” is CitraElo’s key guide in every trip to maintain its “Zero-Accident Record”. CitraElo serves rafting trips in various levels of difficulty from the beginner class to the higher level of adventurers,thus the safety of all rafting participantsis CitraElo’s first priority concern. CitraElo is supported by a professional team of 10-years-experience who love what they do to their customers. CitraElo treats its customers like a family, thus the warmth and hospitality yet professional service is all we have to offer. Supervision and evaluation of performance is constantly managed by an event manager who is also an assessor of Rafting Federation of Indonesia.
3I can’t swim. Can I still go rafting?
Many of our guests can't swim but everyone will be wearing personal flotation devices at all times while on the river. These Coast Guard approved devices are designed to float you face up.
4Is there a minimum age recommendation?
Each river has a usual minimum recommended age. The minimum age is 8 years old on Class III sections of the Elo River Rafting Trip and 15 years old along with our other Class IV springtime Progo River Rafting Trips. A parent or guardian must give permission for an unaccompanied minor (aged 17 years or younger) to participate in an CitraElo Rafting river trip and pre-sign our Liability Release form. Please refer to our Parent Permission Form for instructions about these two documents.
5Is lunch or snack included?
Yes, After the great trip comes the greater food. The best thing after the trip is to have a good food served in the countryside atmosphere of the green lush paddy field, river and mountain. Enjoy CitraElo’sspeciality in traditional dishes such as sayurlodeh, sayurasem, grilled fish and many others. Additional or custom menu may be ordered in the reservation.
6What should I bring?
CitraElo provides all your river safety equipment...paddle, PFD and helmet. In addition to bringing your river clothes, you may want to bring a hat, sunscreen, old sneakers for the river, sunglasses, etc. You'll need a change of clothes for after the trip, dry shoes, shampoo, towel, etc. Whatever you bring on the river WILL get wet! Do not take anything on the river that you do not want to lose!
7Do I need previous experience?
Our Elo Rafting Trip is perfect for beginners and requires no previous experience.
8What do I do with my valuables?
We don’t recommend bringing any valuables on the trip as they are subject to getting wet or lost. There is no need for any money while on the river. We have lockers available in our offices for car keys and valuables. We cannot assume responsibility for property loss or damage.
9Can i wear my sunglasses / glasses durin rafting ?
If you cannot see without your glasses, please bring them along with a sports band strap or we will provide a piece of string which will help secure the glasses to your head. If you can see without your glasses/sunglasses we recommend leaving them in your car so you do not loose or break them out on the river.
10Can i wear my contact lenses?
Contact lenses are usually OK if you are comfortable swimming in them, please tell your guide.
11Do i need sunscreen?
Sunscreen is great on a hot day, avoid putting it above or near your eyes. Remember your body will be mostly covered by our rafting equipment.
12Can i wear my skirt on while on the river?
No, we do not allow rafters to wear anything that could cause a hazard while on the trip. However, you can wear your skirt over the wetsuit before you enter the raft and the guides will then have this available again after the trip.
13Will there be any photographs?
Yes, same day action high resolution photo are for sale, along with souvenirs at a reasonable price.
14Can i bring my camera?
You should leave it behind and not risk getting your camera lost or ruined on the river. You can take some “before and after” photos while in your river gear.
15Can i bring a GoPro
Yes, you can bring your own GoPro for the rafting trip, which can be secured with your own chest harness / GoPro mounts but we are not responsible for loss or damage of your equipment.
16I have some medical concern, what should i do?
When you are making your reservation please let the agent know and they will check with the CitraElo management team. On the day please bring any medication you may need and inform your guide of any medical condition.
17How many people will be on the tour?
Each boat for maximum 5 guests rafters plus the guide (depending on their size and age).
18What if it rains?
Our trips run rain or shine. In fact it’s a lot of fun rafting in the rain and you are going to get wet anyway.
19Could i fall out of the raft?
There is always a very slim possibility that you could fall out of the raft while on your rafting trips. We do everything possible as a company though to keep you inside the raft, providing you with top of the line equipment, including safety lines positioned around the raft, and very thorough, clear and concise safety briefings and demonstrations before the rafting tour. We want you to be prepared and ready to enjoy your trip with us.
